Earlier this week we had a chat with the team over at Porthmadog. All is well with Gertrude and her performance, it was commented upon that we have produced a loco straight out of a rebuild with no snagging list and their team are, “well impressed”. The visitors love her – especially the kids.

For anyone hoping to catch sight of Gertrude in steam over the coming weeks, the next proposed steaming dates are as follows –

Mon 26th July – Mon 2nd August
Mon 9th August – Sun 15th August 9 (double heading on Sunday 15th)
Mon 23rd August – Sun 30th August
Sat 25th September (double headed with Gelert)
Sun 26th September

Dates are obviously subject to change at discretion of the railway and according to operational needs, but are correct at time of posting.
