LBR September Steam Up
This weekend went really well again at Leighton Buzzard. Gertrude was in steam both days over the steam up weekend and worked solo and also with Doll on some trains. Max Sinclair and his son visited on the Saturday. Max was originally bought The Doll and Gertrude for £2.00 each and was responsible for saving both them and also Peter Pan from the scrapman. More members of the Westmacott family also visited over the weekend and had the opportunity to see Gertrude in action.
Gertrude will next be in operation on the North Gloucestershire Narrow Gauge Railway at Toddington on the 19th and 20th September.
If you missed this weekend at the LBR, there are already some video clips online, which can be found here and here! An additional short clip from last weekend can also be seen here.
Thank you to everyone at the Leighton Buzzard, we look forward to seeing you again soon!
